It was a calm spring morning in a small town in the midwest. Each blade of grass glistening as the morning dew sparkled like diamonds off of the cold, wet earth. The sun was trying to peek it’s head through the blankets of cloudy midwest sky. The birds chirped and quarreled amongst one other as they nestled throughout the oak trees.
I rolled the windows down in my grandfather’s 56′ chevy so that I could feel the brisk morning wind lather itself through the each strand of my hair. I remember staring at the calm listless road as if we were the only ones who mattered. I thought of childhood memories, of which I regarded as some of the best days of my life. As I looked through the rearview mirror, I caught a glimpse at the park where I used to play with other local children, and my father used to push me on the swing set.
That is when I had realized that the best things in life are the simplest. That complication is often unnecessary and is considered bland to the classic man. Being simple is not as easy as it seems, and it takes discipline to truly understand the lifestyle. A feeling had rushed over me, one that I have never ever, ever, ever felt before, oh no. And that is when I saw the most amazing sight that one could ever see or un-see: Basic White Girl Equestrians ordering lattes through the drive-thru window at Starbucks.
And in that very moment I knew that nothing would ever be the same.
