So, while scouring the spooky and horrendous depths of the interweb, I came across an absolute beauty of an article. So good that it would make any modern feminist throw themselves out of the window of the 14th floor of a Marriot directly to their demise. So good that 14 year old boys across the nation would immediately begin to grow hair in funny places. So good that parents of daughters will shake their head and a single tear will hit the floor carrying the last ounce of hope that they had left for humanity.
If you’re going to be protesting or supporting a cause, please do it in a moderately civil way and show some class. I don’t understand how riding your horse down a dirt road with your butt cheeks flopping around on your saddle in front of oncoming traffic is going to get your point across. Unless your point is that you’re desperate for attention or that your REALLY lonely. Remember kids…don’t do drugs, don’t take candy from strangers, and stay in school.

The Internet is awash with selfies of naked and near-naked horse lovers. No it’s not a nude jockey convention you haven’t heard of — it’s part of a campaign to encourage motorists to slow down when passing horses.
The images, captioned #willyouslowdownformyhorsenow, are being shared on the Facebook page of the Slow Down For My Horse Campaign and it’s certainly making an impression: over 6,000 likes and counting.The campaign may seem fun and frivolous but it’s addressing an important issue.
“I originally took the photo as a joke, not thinking it would get as big as it has!” the founder, 19-year-old Lauren De Gruchy from Jersey, told Everything Horse UK. “I’m amazed at how many riders young and old, who (sic) are getting involved! It’s such a serious subject, but a fun way to get the word out! Hopefully drivers will start to slow down!”
The campaign has been well-received by most although it has attracted some criticism, with people questioning what nakedness has to do with getting drivers to slow down. Also we’re assuming these riders aren’t really cantering around the countryside naked, as that would surely have the opposite effect and result in multiple collisions…
If you love your horse but also love keeping your clothes on when photographed you can still get involved. Simply share a photo of yourself and your horse on social media with a banner reading #willyouslowdownformenow to get the message across.
